A Research Project Investigating Reading Processes in Higher Education

I would like to invite you to participate in our project which investigates aspects of reading. We are interested in whether heart rate may be a physiological indicator of one’s emotional state when completing reading and non-reading tasks. This project is for my Master's thesis at Newcastle University. It is hoped that the project could provide useful information for researchers investigating reading processes, providing recommendations for both fluent reading and intervention.

This study has been approved as a low-risk project by the Ethics Board of Newcastle University (22nd May 2017).
About the researcher
I am a postgraduate Linguistics and Language Acquisition student at Newcastle University. This project is supervised by Dr Cristina D. Dye, lecturer in Language Development and Psycholinguistics.
